About BoatVision

Practical AI. Clearer information. Captain in control.

BoatVision is guided by a simple belief: advanced visual technology is most useful when it respects the person responsible for the vessel.

OUR MISSION

Help captains understand what is happening around their vessel sooner, more clearly, and with less unnecessary complexity.

Boating asks people to combine visual observation, instruments, local knowledge, rules of the road, vessel handling, and judgment. BoatVision is focused on one part of that picture: helping interpret the live camera view.

The goal is not autonomy. The goal is useful information, presented responsibly, to a captain who remains fully in command.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Built around the responsibility of the helm.

01

Practical marine safety

Focus on recognizable situations and information a captain can understand quickly.

02

Human decision support

Provide visual cues without steering, choosing maneuvers, or hiding uncertainty.

03

Onboard operation

Keep core processing on the vessel where the live camera view originates.

04

Responsible engineering

Evaluate representative marine scenes, communicate limitations clearly, and keep improving the system.

LEARNING FROM REAL BOATING CONDITIONS

The marine environment does not behave like a controlled demo.

BoatVision’s vision model is trained specifically for maritime use. Glare, spray, darkness, weather, sea state, vessel motion, occlusion, installation quality, and object size can still affect computer vision. On-water evaluation keeps the work grounded in what captains and crews actually encounter.
